Christmas Quiz Night 2025!

The lead-up to our Christmas Quiz on Tuesday 23rd December had been building excitement for weeks, following another fantastic regular quiz night where the 99% Club and the Radioheads claimed first and second prizes respectively.

When Christmas Quiz Night finally arrived on 23rd December at 7pm, it proved to be the perfect finale to our year of fortnightly quiz events. We'd pulled out all the stops, significantly increasing the prize money with a whopping £100 voucher for first place and £50 for second place. Entry remained at just £2 per person, making it incredible value for what turned out to be a brilliant evening.

The format included all the usual favourites—Stand Up Bingo and Play Your Cards Right with a jackpot of £250—but we'd added extra special touches befitting the festive season. A raffle provided additional chances to win, and we treated all our quizzers to a complimentary buffet throughout the evening.

Christmas hats added to the festive atmosphere, and the energy in the room was absolutely fantastic.

The night itself was nothing short of brilliant. The turnout was excellent, with familiar faces who'd been joining us throughout the year mixing with some new teams. The questions tested everyone's knowledge, the bingo and card games kept the excitement levels high, and the buffet kept everyone fuelled for the mental challenges ahead.

A massive thank you to Alan, our quiz host, who has been entertaining us all every fortnight throughout the year. His hosting skills, quick wit, and ability to keep the evening flowing smoothly has been instrumental in making our quiz nights such a success. As the winners celebrated their prizes, there was a real sense of community and appreciation for everyone who had supported our quiz nights in 2025.

Team Name: 'Sheila's Flaps'

We recently discovered the origin of the team name 'Sheila's Flaps' and to be honest, we could n't be more relieved. A big thank you to Sheila for generously bringing in her delicious homemade flapjacks for all the quizzers to enjoy!

We were already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026 for more quizzing fun.
