Why You Should Visit the Boot & Shoe
If you've not been to the Boot & Shoe yet, or if you've been meaning to visit and just haven't got round to it, here's what you need to know:
Lauren & Cassie: A Fantastic Team. Since taking over in June 2024, Lauren and Cassie have built something special here. Lauren runs front of house with warmth and personality, while Cassie works magic in the kitchen creating the excellent food that's becoming our reputation.
They're a fantastic team, and it shows in everything from the quality of the food to the welcoming atmosphere you get the moment you walk through the door.
Cassie's Excellent Food
The food is genuinely delicious. Cassie creates dishes that combine traditional pub favourites with creative touches – familiar enough to be comforting, interesting enough to be exciting.
Our Menu Offerings:
• Regular New Menus – we keep things fresh with rotating specials and seasonal dishes
• Chippy Friday – proper fish and chips every Friday
• Saturday Night Menu – our special tasting menu that changes weekly
• The Infamous Sunday Roast – this has become legendary for good reason. Book ahead!
• New Lunch Menu for £10 – brilliant value, brilliant food, served 12pm-3pm daily.
The Beer Garden: Massive Revamp for Summer
We're giving our beer garden a proper revamp ready for summer, and it's going to be absolutely brilliant. The beer garden has excellent views across the valley and it's a right sun trap when the weather's good. We've already got a big screen out there ready for the World Cup, and once the revamp is complete, it's going to be the perfect spot to enjoy food, drinks, and live sport in the sunshine. Watch this space – the beer garden transformation is happening soon!
Events & Entertainment
We host regular events including live music, karaoke nights, and our popular weekly pub quiz. Plus, we're always happy to accommodate private functions and celebrations. There's always something happening at the Boot & Shoe, making it more than just a place to eat
and drink – it's a proper community hub.
The Conservatory with Valley Views
Our conservatory dining area offers stunning views across the valley and provides a lovely space for meals. It's modern but maintains that essential pub feel – comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for everything from casual lunches to special celebrations.
Book to Avoid Disappointment
Especially for our Sunday Roasts and Saturday Night Menus, we strongly recommend booking ahead. These have become incredibly popular (with good reason!), and we'd hate for you to be disappointed.
