Food Collection & Selection Box Appeal

Last Christmas, something wonderful happened at the Boot & Shoe. Our generous customers came together to donate £2 each, which allowed us to purchase selection boxes for The Raft Foundation - Rossendale's Foodbank. The response was heartwarming, and we knew we had to do it again.

This year, we're taking it a step further. Not only will we be collecting donations for selection boxes, but we're also setting up a dedicated collection point for food donations to help local families in need.


What We're Collecting

The Raft Foundation has let us know which items are most needed right now:


  • Tinned meat, vegetables, and soup
  • Coffee, tea, and long-life milk
  • Cereals, porridge, and dried fruit
  • Toiletries: toothpaste, soap, sanitary products, and nappies (size 5-6 plus)
  • Pet food for dogs and cats


How You Can Help

You'll find our collection box right at the entrance to the bar - you can't miss it! Feel free to drop off any of the items listed above whenever you visit. If you'd prefer to make a cash donation towards selection boxes, just speak to any member of our team and they'll be happy to help.


Every single donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference to families in our community.
